The weather
did not want to cooperate for our tournament this year. Two
weeks leading up to our event, it was taking 23 lbs. of
fish to cash a check. The rainy season started and
the pumps were turned on at the park, raising the water
levels dramatically. Add in a blue bird sky with
no wind and you have the makings of a tough bite. As
many found out.
Around 1:30 PM an afternoon
thunderstorm with plenty of lighting and rain rolled in. Many
teams got off the water early for safety reasons and did
not bother weighing in their fish. This resulted
in several zero weights.
That's fishing for ya. There's
always next year. Let's hope the weather cooperates
a little better.
