The most important function of S.A.F.E.R. is to educate and inform the Everglades Recreationalists, (fishermen, hunters, even bird watchers) about the progress and planning during the Everglades Restoration Project.  From time to time the COE and SFWMD have public meetings that give us the opportunity to speak our minds about their plans for our Everglades.

Every third Tuesday of the month, 7:30 PM, Bass Pro Shops Dania, S.A.F.E.R. meets.  Each month we e-mail and postage mail the meeting minutes to individuals who have expressed and interest of keeping informed.  We also send out periodic mailings informing these same people of upcoming Public Meetings.
